Re: High Ram usage

You may just need to set it higher. Increase gradually until they go away.
Or reduce your keyframe interval.
Alternatively there may be something going on that is blocking the event writing process.

Will need debug level 3 logs.

You aren't by any chance using de-interlacing?

Re: Capture crash

I have an idea what is going on based on some googling.

Do you have your ImageBufferCount set to 0? It actually needs to be somewhere around 3 to 5 (3 works for me but I've seen some choppiness in live view).

Some code assumes at least 1

Re: h264 passthrough + s3fs

It should work. That being said, I had no end of troubles back when I was implementing it.

My suggestion is to record to a local drive and use a filter to move the events to s3 in the background using a filter. It will be far more resilient.

I don't know if I've fixed this, but we went looking and found once spot that could cause a problem.

So please update and try today's build.

Re: Camera Switch to None,Disabled alone

1.34.27 will contain a fix for this.

To apply the fix yourself look to recent commits to the release-1.34 branch.

Re: Turn Off The GUI UI When Cycling Views

Urls have not changed. headers can be turned off. You are years late to this party you will have to use search to find the discussions about it. There is something wrong with your setup. 1.34 should perform better than 1.30 for all use cases. It has been several years since 1.34 was released. No one...

Re: Events restart at midnight.

logrotate generally happens at midnight. After moving the logs we signal zm to reload.

There are ajax calls that will return the next event. Or you can just sql query for the next event for that monitor sorted by time or id.

Re: Help with ONVIF Motion Detecion

I don't actually know if this script works at all. We took a look at it, but were not able to find any cameras that ACTUALLY send onvif events.

Re: repeating authentication errors

ffmpeg can't handle weird characters. They need to be url encoded. Which means we need to parse the url, escape the password, rebuild the url and hand that to ffmpeg.

It's the parsing of the url that is tricky (in c++ land) and we have thus far been lazy about it.

Re: PTZ joystick for pan, tilt, zoom

I havn't heard of anyone implementing that. We'd be happy to try and implement (for a fee). I'm not exactly sure to actually interface with a joystick in terms of a web browser. Would be interesting.
